Personal Profile

Fiona MacKay Young has, over 15 years, been assisting people in employment selection & career transitions from a personality perspective. A Certified Handwriting Analyst, with subsequent training in Gestalt Graphology, a Career & Business Consultant, qualified Myers Briggs Practitioner, a trained Coach and Trainer, her belief in the benefits of self awareness, self-understanding, and the ability of each and every person to find a life that will be satisfying and fulfilling, is her motivation.

By examining what "makes people tick" she guides employers in the hiring role, and career changers in their job selection making the most and of each individual's strengths and potential.

The Hire Write Site allows Fiona to offer a variety of products and services connected with personality awareness for business. 

She consults with Employers on Hiring, Team Building and Conflict Resolution, with individuals on Career Planning and provides Handwriting Analysis Related Entertainment Services for business functions of all types and sizes. 

As coach, she also works one-on-one with either employers or career changers to identify goals, needs and strengths, to achieve optimum success.

Fiona offers training for employers on how to analyze the handwriting of staff and potential staff.  These courses are available for individuals or groups, locally on-site (Victoria, BC) or by distance. She is the author a series of handwriting analysis books for beginners, including "Hire the Write Person the FIRST Time: What you really want to know about your job applicants" .

Her varied past experience includes both service and product oriented home based businesses and a busy retail franchise business. As a coach/consultant she has assisted hundreds of career changers, and would be entrepreneurs to find work that is satisfying and to which they have a natural inclination, to choose and start businesses.  Fiona has given presentations and workshops to employers and government on "Intra-Career Transition" (ie. finding career direction within a company or government department.).  She has also developed and facilitated courses on business communication skills to help both employers and job seekers communicate more effectively.

An enthusiastic, fun and knowledgeable speaker, facilitator, trainer and writer she uses a variety of tools to help her clients find personality fits for business, career and personal life.

Fiona makes many public appearances, speaking at a variety of events, conferences, to organizations and government departments.   She has appeared on television and radio, and had articles by and about her published throughout Western Canada.

Fiona trained at the International GraphoAnalysis Society (Chicago), Concordia University College (Canada), Psychometrics Canada, and with Coach University based in Colorado.  She is past President of the Canadian Chapter of the Coalition of Handwriting Analysts International (www.chaiusa.org)
